1) Icy Roof
The jagged icicles on the roof evoke a cold environment, as they are opaque in the photo. Natural light from sun can be seen just barely peering over the roof, a lighter blue compared to the dark around it that provides depth to the image.
2) Darkened Room
The absence of light in the photo can give the viewer a sense of what the focal point is, that being light shining through the window onto the table.
3) Paris.
It may not have been taken during school, but it is arguably one of my best photos because it conveys juxtaposition. It becomes more apparent if you look at the suited figure sitting down calmly behind a spray painted message, reading as: "CRISIS" in a time where Paris was in said crisis. Not exactly a crisp picture, but the lighting does an excellent job in supporting imagery. Darkness of night creeping its way towards the artificial light of the clothing store can be seen as a metaphorical difference.
4) Flower
One of the first pictures I took last semester, just a simple flower. I angled the camera in a way the light would be covering half of the flower so that the bright orange color in the center wouldn't be blotched out.
5) A small seed.
A very subtle photo of a seed. It is just crisp enough so that the focus is solely on the seed alone. It's reddish-orange color against the slate-gray is a nice contrast.
